Managing energy locally

As energy is becoming more expensive and increasing levels of use are having an impact on our planet, we need to think about different energy solutions. We need to think locally, around the house and the office, about turning off the switch, avoiding power hungry appliances, making simple changes to our homes and sourcing our power from fuels which don’t cause harmful emissions during generation.

The Central Victoria Solar City project and its partners offer information about how you can simply and quickly reduce energy use around the home and at work. The project also offers:
  • household energy audits and retrofits to help you identify changes you can make to reduce energy use and costs.
  • special Smart Rate options (choices that allow you to pay less for your energy if you agree to use less during periods when energy network or generation capacity is constrained).
