The research information collected will play a critical role in forming Australia’s future energy policies. By participating in this research you can help create a sustainable future for Australia.

At Home
Central Victoria Solar City is offering a range of Local Energy Solutions Packages to help households become more sustainable with their energy use, and help reduce their impact on the environment. A limited number of householders can choose from a menu of energy efficiency, local generation and demand management product and service packages.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Download The Welcome PackThe Welcome Pack contains a Project Overview, a Welcome Letter, an Expression of Interest Form and the seven Local Energy Solutions Packages being offered. Choose which Packages you are interested in, fill in the Expression of Interest form, either online or print it out and send it back, and send it back to the Central Victoria Solar City office. Once we receive your Expression of Interest form we will send you out your Engagement Pack, which includes cost and bonus information, surveys and terms & conditions for you to consider. It is at this point that you may choose to formally sign up for one or more of the Packages and become part of the project.

Energy Audit Package Identify ways you can reduce your energy use around the home. This Package is currently being revised to make it even more relevant to Central Victorians. As such, delivery of this service has been put on hold in the short term. You can, however, still submit an Expression of Interest for this Package and we will contact you as soon as it becomes available again. |

Smart Rates Package Outsmart your electricity bills by trialling one of Origin’s two exclusive new Central Victoria Solar City pricing plans for electricity. You can now enjoy the benefits of a FREE energy audit before you sign up for Smart Rates! Whilst there is no longer a sign-on bonus attached to this Package you will still receive the performance bonus at the end of the trial. |

Solar Hot Water Package Heat your own hot water with a solar hot water system and help combat climate
change. Participants who sign up for Solar Hot Water now automatically get a FREE energy audit beforehand. Whilst the Package no longer has a sign-on bonus attached to it, participants will still get a performance bonus at the end of the trial. Household Solar Electric Package Generate green electricity at home with a solar electricity system. We are now offering a 1.5kW system as part of the project. Those participants who already have an Engagement Contract for a 2kW system need to have their Contract back to the project office by 14 July. After this a 1.5kW system will be offered at a very competitive price, thanks to Origin. To get an exact quote call Origin Solar on 1300 791 468 and remember to ask for them to include the CVSC 10% discount. There will no longer be an annual gross feed-in tariff offered by the project office for this Package but participants are still eligible to apply for the 66c/kWh Victorian net feed-in tariff and participants will also still receive the performance bonus at the end of the trial. |
